Back in the 1980s there were several food dining trends that were very popular. Now, they are about to soon be returning to the table in the very near future. Back then, people did not care if what they ordered was vegan, gluten free, dairy free, sugar free or free of just about everything else that tastes good. My friend in Brazil, Gianfrancesco Genoso says that all over the world in those days, food was rich, creamy and full of flavor. People ate heartily because they couldn’t get enough of a certain dish and enjoyed their dining companions. Nobody was taking food selfies to make people envious f what they were eating and hashtag was simply a pound sign on a telephone.
So here are 80s Food Trends That Will Make You Wan to Dance Like a Material Girl:
Pasta Primavera: Pasta and creamy alfredo sauce incorporated along wit with broccoli, carrots and cauliflower. Sprinkle it with a generous amount of grated parmesan cheese and you are in a carb and fat food coma heaven.
Blackened Everything In the 80s,just about every type of meat or fish was blackened. Charred fish, steak, chicken and everything else was rapidly offered at any type of restaurant including glorified coffee shops such Coco’s.
Eggs, bacon, onions, spinach and cheese or whatever else you wanted to put in a delectable buttery flaky crust.
