Healthy Living, a weight loss service patterned after the weight loss system, NutriMost, has been in trouble recently for refusing to cease using a video allegedly pirated from NutriMost’s website.
The video features the exact same content that NutriMost created for their website. The only thing that was changed were the references to NutriMost with the words “Can’t Lose Diet”. Even the NutriMost patient testimonials were kept in the video, including those of NutriMost owner Dr. Ray Wisniewski.
Healthy Living’s owner was sent a “cease and desist” letter last September to stop airing the pirated video or NutriMost would pursue legal action, but Healthy Living pared down the video and kept it on the website. NutriMost is seeking a settlement of $300,000.00 for damage to the company’s reputation and “loss of goodwill”. NutriMost is also seeking an order to bar Healthy Living from ever using any of the promotional materials again.
The NutriMost weight loss system claims that patients can lose up to 40 pounds in forty days using the service. Patients receive a consultation and have a painless body scan performed by a NutriMost doctor. The information from the body scan can show a patient what food to eat in order to achieve perfect balance in the body.
There are no diet pills, extra exercise, or special foods that need to be eaten with this diet, just consuming the foods the body scan lists will help increase metabolism and keep the body in tip top shape. A high percentage of patients keep the weight off long term and stick to the lifestyle change that was prescribed. The NutriMost doctor oversees all active cases and a patient can repeat the program any time for greater weight loss.
