Jay-Z might have 99 problems, but enjoying a wild night out in Manhattan definitely isn’t one of them. As reported by GrubStreet, and confirmed by PageSix, the iconic rapper recently paid a bar tab of over $110,000 over the course of a single evening.
The event? A birthday celebration for Jay’s friend Juan “OG” Perez, who’s also the president of Roc Nation Sports. Instead of going to the NBA All Star game, it was time to party.
The festivities began with dinner at Zuma, which is a Midtown restaurant that’s long been a favorite of Jay and his wife Beyonce. A group of fellow executives from Roc Nation joined in. The total, just for dinner? $13,000. After Jay picked up the bill, the party continued at the Inwood restaurant Made in Mexico. That stop cost a mere $9,000, which included bottles of the Jay-owned cognac D’Ussé.
A visit to the nearby nightclub Playroom concluded the evening, and was the most expensive one yet. Their Playroom server shared Jay’s receipt to Snapchat. It totaled $91,135. The tip? $11,000!
At this point, the group numbered only six people. Among them was Desiree Perez, who’s OG Perez’s wife and the chief operating officer of Roc Nation. Other party guests were Roc Nation president Jay Brown, and Jay-Z’s cousin Emory Jones.
At Playroom, Jay paid full price for 40 bottles of his champagne brand Ace of Spades. He and his friends didn’t drink all of them, though. Jay distributed some of the bottles to other nightclub patrons.
