Doctor Scott Rocklage has put in more than two decades of real-world experience employed in the field of healthcare. Over the last 20-plus years, Rocklage has held a number of executive positions. He was employed as the head of Mikana and Ilypsa. Both of these companies would later be bought Entremed and Amgen respectively.
In 2003 Scott Rocklage took on the job of a venture partner for the burgeoning venture capital company named 5AM Ventures. The financial firm invests in recently-launched biological businesses. In 2004 Rocklage moved up into the position of a managing partner.

Training And Formal Education
Rocklage set his sights on the Golden State following his high school graduation. He went to UCB (the University of California, Berkeley) where he studied chemistry. After earning his bachelor’s degree there he moved on to MIT (the Massachusetts Institute of Technology) where he graduated with a Ph.D. in chemistry. While working to complete his formal education he also managed to conduct research work under the mentorship of Nobel Prize winner Richard Schrock.

Dr. Scott Rocklage has also managed to find the time to write more than 100 research papers as well. They have all seen print in several different peer-reviewed publications. Furthermore, Rocklage’s personal leadership skills have been credited for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) giving their approval to several different drugs such as Teslascan and Omniscan. Additionally, Rocklage is credited as being the actual “driving force” behind a number of assorted drugs being selected and okayed for clinical trials.
